The End of Thanksgiving Football?

From an anonymous tipster:

The Thanksgiving football game ended prematurely on the fifth play when John [Majewski] ruptured a tendon in his knee. He was taken off the field by the Hillsborough Rescue squad. He's got a soft cast on it now, until he can have surgery to re-attach it back in Chicago. Needless to say, this may sound the death knell of the game forever. It was bound to happen eventually. Happy Thanksgiving.

Was this the last Thanksgiving game? Will next year's game be moved to the new BSC (Branchburg Sports Complex)? Is two-hand touch the new tackle? All questions to be answered...

NYC Marathon: The Branchburger Spirit Squad

A favorite activity amongst Branchburgers who live in the city is to gather and watch the New York City Marathon. The day typically consists of gathering for a boozy breakfasting, testing the group's sign-making skills, heading to Second Avenue to watch the runners, back for more "breakfast" and then over to Central Park to watch the runners at Mile 25. This year's race was even more fun given that Branchburger Gillian Kost and her dad were running the race right alongside such notables as Al Roker, Veronica Webb, The Chilean Miner and Otis Elevator's very-own Renata.

Branchburger Spotting: Halloween

Branchburgers-turned-celebrities Katy Perry (fresh from her appearance on SNL) and Justin Bieber were seen out and about on Halloween weekend...

Cindy's 29+1 Birthday

Another birthday, another excuse for Branchburgers to rally together, catch up over some drinks and inevitably end up at Sing Sing on St. Marks for hours of karaoke. Needless to say, that there will be many more karaoke-related posts on this blog in the future (and the glasses will be explained)...

The Hunt (For Branchburgers)

Some may be surprised to know that every October, more than 40,000 people converge on Somerset County for the Far Hills Races, commonly known as The Hunt. What's even more suprising is when former Branchburgers who haven't seen each other in more than 15 years are able to find each other in this huge crowd.

On another note: does a Branchburg Central Class of '98 Reunion sound at all like a good idea?
